At Peter's request we took he and Anna to Patos Island, our favorite summer boating spot at the most northern of the San Juan Islands. Literally positioned on Georgia Strait, it's remote enough that we often see seals and many times Orcas who like to dine on the seals which dine on the fish that are churned up by the rapid, crazy currents that surround the island, particularly on the northeast side. We usually have the island to ourselves as there are no services to the island and few anchorages or camping spots. Typically we spread our campsite over the promontory of land surrounded by endless views. I love it here.
